A cidade da cerveja preta mais famosa do mundo e muito enraizada pelos pubs. À parte disso, Dublin é uma capital cosmopolita, divertida, de onde fazem partes grandes nomes da literatura e a famosa banda U2.

É uma cidade perfeita para uma escapadinha de fim-de-semana e foi isso que aconteceu no final de janeiro de 2020. Fiz esta viagem com amigos. Apanhámos o primeiro voo em Birmingham através da companhia área Ryanair por apenas 20€ ida e volta. A viagem teve a duração de 1 hora. O aeroporto de Dublin fica a 45 minutos do centro da cidade e, por isso, à saída do aeroporto existe indicação para o terminal de autocarros de onde apanham o Aircoach (que pára em 3 sítios diferentes) ou o autocarro Airlink 747 (diretamente para a O’Connell Street).

Ficámos hospedados no Isaacs Hostel o qual aconselho bastante, pois fica bastante próximo do centro da cidade e tem pequeno-almoço incluído. Durante estes dois dias, fizemos o percurso maioritariamente a pé.

Conselhos:

• Aconselho a visitarem no último dia o Phoenix Park e a Guinness Storehouse, sendo que são os pontos que se encontram mais “distantes” na cidade.
• Caso já tenham delineado o que visitar, devem comprar antecipadamente os ingressos de entrada pois as filas eram numerosas.
• Se visitarem a cidade no Inverno, vão devidamente agasalhados devidos às baixas temperaturas que se fazem sentir.
• Bebam muita cerveja e divirtam-se!

The city of black beer very rooted in pubs. Apart from that, Dublin is a fun, cosmopolitan capital, where big names in literature and the famous band U2 are part of.

It is a perfect city for a weekend getaway, and that is what happened at the end of January 2020. I made this trip with some friends from Birmingham through the Ryanair airline for just € 20 round trip, and it took around 1 hour. Dublin Airport is about 45 minutes from the city centre. When leaving the airport, there is an indication of the bus terminal. You can take the Aircoach (which stops at 3 different places) or the Airlink 747 bus (directly to the O’Connell Street).

We stayed at Isaacs Hostel, which I highly recommend. It is very close to the city centre and has breakfast included. During these two days, we travelled mostly on foot.

What to visit?

Advice:

• Visit the Phoenix Park and the Guinness Storehouse on the same day, as they are the city’s most distant points.
• If you have already outlined what to visit, you must purchase entrance tickets in advance as the queues were numerous.
• If you see the city in winter go properly dressed due to the low temperatures.
• Drink a lot of beer and have fun!
